Rihanna, Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour and Stephen and Christine Schwarzman all combined forces for hosting duties and the event rolled out its red carpet to several Hip Hop stars such as 2 Chainz (who proposed to his longtime girlfriend), Childish Gambino a.k.a. A$AP Rocky officially unveiled his first Under Armour sneaker collab, as well as the cover art for his next album, at his “Testing” event in New York City last night.
The mysterious sneaker has surfaced multiple times in recent weeks, including on the feet of Rocky himself, but the pair he debuted last night is a bit different that the ones we’ve seen thus far. The bulky low-tops comes dressed in all black and appears to feature multiple leather overlays atop the mesh construction. He joins the ranks of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Caz, GrandWizzard Theodore, Kurtis Blow, and other hip-hop greats who checker the two-mile strip.
